The dogs have all learned to do the same
The sun is out and the world is shining
The casualties have yet to be named

I was wrong to say the world was empty
For your destitute is so beautiful

The thunder cries out so seamlessly
I'm finding it hard to get my way to sleep
The continuous noise is still comforting to me
It reminds me that your world is still alive

The caskets all open as the dead are learning to sing
Melodies of long tortured souls
The soldiers whose hands are all calloused and coarse
Will not look up from work to see what their war has become

The storm now fades into one brilliant light
As God is revealed to be nothing at all
The light now explodes and consumes all of space
As the birds of war are brought to peace.
